Shipper-Owned Container Solutions
"Shippers owned" containers, which means that they are not owned by the actual carrier but supplied by the cargo owners (Shippers) or OTIs. These may not follow the ISO standard identification/certification but should be fully CSC safety approved containers.
Container Management
We support the movement and coordination of shipper-owned containers throughout the transportation process.
International Shipping
SOC equipment can be coordinated for international transportation and destination delivery requirements.
Logistics Coordination
Our logistics approach helps coordinate container movements according to client schedules and operational requirements.
Proper Equipment Identification
SOC containers may have no registered owner code, category identifier or check digit. It is advisable to follow ISO 6346 because the absence of a compliant identification code can create problems for carriers and container terminals when identifying equipment and correctly delivering cargo. Computer systems commonly require ISO 6346 conformant naming, and missing prefixes may therefore be invented during operational processing.
Experienced SOC Operations
We are experienced in import releases, timely Delivery Order Notices, collection of charges on behalf of principals, delivery of containers according to client schedules and billing and collection of detention charges.
Import & Documentation
Support for import releases, Delivery Order Notices, documentation and related operational requirements.
Container Delivery
Container delivery can be coordinated according to the client's operational schedule and destination requirements.
Empty Equipment
Empty equipment can be repositioned regardless of equipment type, including tank, reefer, flatrack, opentop and standard containers.
Flexible Container Solutions
We can support a wide range of container equipment requirements and coordinate available depots for holding empty equipment.
Depending on operational requirements, solutions can include tank containers, standard containers, flat racks, reefers, open tops and other specialized equipment.
Tank Containers
Specialized equipment for cargo requiring tank-container transportation.
Standard Containers
Conventional container solutions for international cargo movement.
Reefer Containers
Refrigerated equipment designed for temperature-sensitive cargo requirements.
Flatrack & Opentop
Specialized equipment options for oversized and unusual cargo requirements.
Supporting International SOC Movements
SOC containers may be considered commodities when imported into a country and may therefore be subject to applicable duties and taxes. Some countries may permit owners or OTIs to import containers temporarily, provided they are shipped out within a specified period before applicable duties or taxes become due. Customs formalities may also be required upon entry.
